Texas Home Living Waiver
Volunteers of America Texas is a certified Texas Home Living Waiver provider (TxHmL). TxHmL is a Medicaid waiver program approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The program is operated by the department under the authority of Texas Department of Aging and Development Services and the mental retardation authorities (MRA) in which services are being provided.
The goal of the program is to provide community-based services and supports to eligible individuals who live in their own homes or in their family homes. Volunteers of America Texas will assist with community support; nursing, day habilitation, behavioral support, employment assistance, supported employment and respite. We will also assist with adaptive aids, minor home modifications and specialized therapies.
