Hutchins Community Corrections

The Hutchins Community Corrections Center is a 120-bed facility, also operating a re-entry program under contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The facility houses men and women, with stays ranging up to six months. Hutchins provides a wide range of life skills classes, substance abuse education, and intensive employment readiness and referral services. A unique partnership with Texas Workforce has made Hutchins a pilot site for intensive Texas Workforce services designed to optimize the offenders’ success at locating and maintaining employment. Offenders seek and maintain employment while working on other re-entry issues as well, and are required to pay fees to offset a portion of their subsistence.
