Volunteers of America Texas strives to change the lives of offenders through professional rehabilitation. The ultimate goal is to give them the social, spiritual, and vocational tools needed to reintegrate into mainstream society, make positive contributions, and avoid repeat offenses. Our substance abuse programs include both residential and outpatient treatment for alcohol and drug addictions, and education programs to help prevent substance abuse.
Children and Youth Services
Volunteers of America Texas is a leader in the development of programs that provide specialized case management services to first-time offenders or targeted offenders, such as those charged with DUI (Driving Under the Influence) or domestic violence. Intensive supervision and support can also divert youth from the court system or incarceration.
Children and Youth Services promote healthy development of children, adolescents, and their families through prevention and intervention services. Community-based programs for at-risk children collaborate with schools, religious organizations, and other social service agencies.
