Action Team Volunteers
Youth Action Team: Calling All High School Students!
The numbers say it best: Action Teams are hitting to win all over the country.
To date, more than 19,000 students nationwide have made a positive impact in their communities through the Action Teams, helping over 90,000 people in their very own neighborhoods. Volunteers of America Texas connects Action Team students with local programs and people who need the help of energetic teens.
How it works: Students are selected as Action Team Captains and work to spread the Major League Baseball players’ message about the importance of community service. Students participate in Volunteers of America organized service projects, participate in leadership & character-building activities and get recognized for their efforts in many ways, including taking part in a pre-game ceremony with the Texas Rangers!

The Action has started!
This year, we are excited have Action Teams from several high schools. We are recruiting for the 2010 school year, so if your school might be interested, let us know!
