JOB DESCRIPTION: The Developmental Services Provider is a direct-care staff position responsible for the operation, coordination, instruction and supervision of the residents of the group home for developmentally disabled individuals, insuring the protection of individual resident rights. Responsibility includes transportation and supervision of residents to outside activities. Works flex time schedule as a "floater" where needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a person at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Conduct group and individual counseling, client progress assessments, substance abuse education, and personal and social adjustment training. Maintain treatment and other therapeutic records and develop referral linkages with community resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have current LCDC license OR license as LPC, LMSW, or LMFT with 1,000 documented hours of substance abuse counseling. (LCDC-I must have 2000 hours toward license). Bachelor’s degree preferred in Psychology, Social Work, or behavioral sciences. Demonstrated ability to conduct education and therapeutic counseling for individuals and groups required. Reasonable combination of skills in substance abuse counseling, psychological testing, vocational assessment, communications, and resource development is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associates Degree in business related field plus two years general office experience OR four years directly related experience. Requires PC proficiency; general office knowledge including copiers, fax, and mailing procedures; organizational skills; and the ability to interact with clients, funding agencies, the general public, and all levels of employees.

Ensure the protection of individual resident rights. Responsible for scheduling and activities of direct-care staff, and providing coverage. Coordinate medical appointments and transport clients. Provide continuous instruction, supervision, training, encouragement, and reinforcement to residents according to Individual Treatment Plan.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in mental health/mental retardation or related field preferred, or two years transferable work experience. Ability to assist in the physical care of residents as needed. Reasonable knowledge in the areas of developmental disabilities, budgeting, household management, meal planning and preparation, and community resource interaction. Must have access to reliable transportation. American sign language a plus.
