With a recent funding award from the Department of Veterans Affairs, this newly implemented service is designed to help veterans’ families get back on their feet. We help veteran’s families identify housing and linkages to needed services so that families experience the safety of housing and economic self-sufficiency.

Substance Abuse Treatment
Our addiction treatment and recovery programs address not only the addiction itself, but also issues like poverty, homelessness and abuse that arise from chemical dependency. We are committed to helping clients gain sure footing in sobriety so that they can reclaim what was lost and become productive members of their families and society.
With more than 40 housing communities across the state, Volunteers of America Texas is one of the largest providers of affordable housing for low-income households in the state. We specialize in permanent, supportive housing options for at-risk groups – seniors, families facing poverty, individuals with mental and physical disabilities and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities – who otherwise might have to turn to unsafe, blighted housing, or worse, the streets.
