What keeps you motivated and dedicated after the 21 years that you've been with VOA Texas?

I love being able to help people. It motivates me to continue to be dedicated to VOA Texas.

Explain how you have benefited from growth opportunities at VOA Texas?

Because of my experience at VOA Texas, I was afforded the opportunity to coach a special Olympics team. Being a group home manager for some years, helped me obtain the skills I needed to work with the population we serve. 

What's your favorite memory at VOA Texas?

The most memorable experience I have had at VOA Texas was when North Texas experienced extreme winter weather in February 2021. The group home lost electricity and after being huddled in the company van to stay warm, I ultimately decided to take the clients to my apartment. They stayed with me for a week. I had the opportunity to cook for them and care for them in the safety of my home.
