Telehealth Services Now Available, HIPAA Approved!

The COVID-19 Pandemic can be a huge set back for someone who's on the road to recovery, but it doesn't have to be.  Volunteers of America Texas is committed to providing clients and employees the support and services they need during this time.

Telehealth has been crucial in providing our continuum of care to the most vulnerable populations because it allows VOA Texas clinical staff to virtually check-in and provide individual and group mental health care, substance use treatment, and case management services to our clients in need at any location.

Volunteers of America Texas has adopted Zoom and Zoom Health virtual video conferencing in order to provide these services. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has outlined policies and regulations for providing telehealth which VOA Texas is committed to upholding. Zoom and Zoom Health are both HIPAA compliant.

“We are empowering medical providers to serve patients wherever they are during this national public health emergency. We are especially concerned about reaching those most at risk, including older persons and persons with disabilities.”
