Dallas Pathways Career Re-entry
The VOA Texas Dallas Re-entry Career Pathways Program addresses barriers to successful reentry such as low job skills, educational deficits, and few vocational opportunities. The center provides job skills training and workforce support to help reduce recidivism.
Services Provided
- Re-entry services (Pre-Release and Post-Release Services/Transitional)- Resolana services, LSI-R assessments, Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
- Assessments and Case Management- TABE testing, O-NET Interest Profiler, Job-Readiness Pre-Test, Individual Career Plan (ICP)
- Financial Services- financial education and individual financial coaching focused on solving financial problems, planning for financial stability, and connecting to quality financial service providers.
- Employment Services-work with local employers, to identify and develop employment and training opportunities for FOC clients with criminal records; Job-readiness courses.
- Vocational Training and Education- collaborate with Dallas College, Workforce Solutions, and Texas Workforce, all who provides contextualized basic education and needed workplace skills. FOC staff also provide GED prep in-house
