The Home Improvement and Preservation Program (HIPP) Major Systems Repair Program (MSRP) offers qualified low- and moderate-income homeowners in Dallas assistance in the form of a forgivable loan up to $24,000 for necessary repairs, including:
Services:
- Major systems: HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repair/replacement
- Exterior cladding
- Accessibility repairs
- Roofing
Application Documents:
- Application form fully filled out and submitted
- Driver’s license or state identification card
- Social security card for all household members (or permanent resident card)
- Property deed
Eligibility Criteria
- Must own and reside in the home
- Home must be located in the City of Dallas
- Household income below 80% AMI
Based on household number: 1-$67,850, 2-$77,550 - Must have homeowner insurance
- Mortgage and property taxes must be up-to-date
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
