Why Volunteers of America Texas?

Working at Volunteers of America Texas is more than a job. It’s a calling. Every day we restore hope to people whose lives have been shattered – by poverty, addiction, joblessness – and give them the tools they need to become productive members of their families and communities. We invite you to learn more about our ministry of service to humanity.

Who We Are We

We are a diverse group of committed, capable individuals. Together, the work we do at Volunteers of America Texas impacts thousands of people across the state. Our programs are designed to lift up those who need the most help – from individuals who are transitioning from prison and recovering from drug or alcohol addiction to the elderly and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our Culture

We are committed to serving the most vulnerable people in society and working where the need is greatest. With a compassionate spirit, we help our clients achieve their full potential, believing that by changing one life, we have the power to change the world. Through disciplined stewardship, we guard the mission and resources with which we are entrusted. Finally, through collaborative service within our own organization and with community partners, we aspire to expand the impact we have.

Our Locations

We have approximately 350 employees working in a vast array of programs and services in more than 30 urban and rural communities across the state, including Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and beyond. We are also an affiliate of the national Volunteers of America program, which employs nearly 16,000 individuals nationwide. Interested in a career at Volunteers of America Texas?
