Located in more than 30 urban and rural communities across Texas and New Mexico, including Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Albuquerque, Volunteers of America offers a vast array of human services that help individuals fulfill their potential and, in turn, build stronger, healthier communities for more than 100 years. Our services vary from region to region, based on the individual needs of each community.
Austin
Programs include:
- Affordable housing communities for seniors.
Dallas
Programs include:
- Affordable housing communities for seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Community re-entry services for individuals transitioning from prison back into the community, including the Resolana program for women at the Dallas County Jail
- Services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Group homes
- Home and community based services for adults with disabilities and their parents and guardians - Youth prevention for children of incarcerated mothers
Fort Worth
Programs include:
- Addiction treatment and recovery services.
- Residential and outpatient services for men and women.
- A gender-specific program for women, including those who are pregnant or have children.
- Affordable housing communities for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Community re-entry services for individuals transitioning from prison back into the community.
- Halfway house services
- Mother & Infants Together (MINT) program for pregnant women in incarceration
- Services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Group homes
- Home and community based services for adults with disabilities and their parents and guardians
- Youth prevention programs serving at-risk children through area schools.
Houston
