Located in more than 30 urban and rural communities across Texas and New Mexico, including Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Albuquerque, NM VOA Texas offers a vast array of human services that help individuals fulfill their potential and, in turn, build stronger, healthier communities for more than 100 years. Our services vary from region to region, based on the individual needs of each community.

Substance Use Treatment & Prevention

VOA Texas provides rehabilitative and preventative substance use programs in Fort Worth, Houston, and Conroe. Our prevention team focuses on Tarrant County, giving workshops to at-risk youth and their families to reduce their risk of using substances.

Housing Assistance

VOA Texas manages 41 housing sites throughout the state, serving seniors and/or persons with disabilities. For veterans, VOA Texas provides rapid re-housing services for homeless veterans and their families, homeless prevention, and linkages to needed services.

Residential Re-Entry

VOA Texas has provided re-entry services for people re-entering society from prison for more than three decades. The program allows men and women to serve out the last months of their sentences in an environment with decreased restrictions and helps with a successful transition back into society.

Employment Services

VOA Texas’ Financial Opportunity Center helps individuals overcome barriers and obtain financial stability through a wide array of bundled services in three core areas: financial coaching, employment training, and assistance accessing income supports such as food stamps, health insurance, and Federal Student Aid.
